Track your baby’s growth measurements

What the record provides

Keep weight, length and head circumference together with their measurement dates. Growth charts provide context for a discussion with your clinician; they are not a diagnosis on their own.

Start recording

Open Growth, choose the measurement type, and enter its value, unit and date. Check the units carefully when copying a measurement from a paper record or report.

Review the information

Review a sequence of measurements rather than judging one entry. If a value looks unexpectedly different, first check the unit, date and entry. Do not replace it with an expected value without verification.

Share and discuss

When sharing the record with your doctor, explain how measurements were taken and any relevant context. Interpretation depends on the child’s circumstances and clinical assessment, not only the chart.
