Introduction
TAMIM ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our baby care tracking application.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we require your full name, email address, country, phone number and role in caring for the baby. You can register with Google or email. Email registration stores a password hash and verifies your email; Google registration does not give us your Google password. Phone numbers are checked for a valid format but are not verified by SMS. You can edit your profile in Settings.
Baby Information
To provide our services, we collect information about your baby including name, date of birth, gender, photo (optional), and birth weight and length.
Tracking Data
We collect data you input to track your baby's care, including feeding logs (type, amount, time), sleep patterns, diaper changes, bath records, growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference), immunization records, medication logs, and crying episodes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain our baby tracking services, generate personalized insights and recommendations, send you notifications and reminders (with your consent), enable sharing with caregivers and healthcare providers you authorize, improve our services through analytics, and comply with legal obligations.
Third-Party Services
These are the services and infrastructure TAMIM runs on:
- Google Authentication - For secure sign-in with your Google account
- Our own servers - Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on infrastructure we operate ourselves, not on a third-party platform
- Email - Verification, invitation and notification messages are sent from our own mail server
- OpenAI - For AI-assisted features you switch on: advisor questions and summaries include the parent or caregiver name and relationship, the baby's name and profile, and tracked care history; AI services also include food and nappy analysis, medication review, and - only if you enable it separately - your completed check-in answers and anything you typed in them
Optional Google Analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics uses optional cookies to measure public page visits, campaign sources and sign-in link clicks. Clicks are not completed registrations. Private app pages, account details, baby names, weights, feeding, sleep and care records are excluded. Advertising personalization is disabled in our website integration. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days; analytics cookies expire after 180 days. Change or withdraw your permission using Privacy and measurement settings at the bottom of a public page. Declining does not affect Tamim features. Google receives technical device and connection information and may process it outside your country.
Optional advertising measurement
With a separate opt-in, Google Ads attributes ad clicks to completed registration after email verification and profile completion. Google scripts do not load on private care pages: a generic registration confirmation contains no names, email addresses or child-care data. Advertising personalization and enhanced conversions are disabled. Ad-click identifiers and cookies last up to 90 days; a protected first-party proof lasts up to 7 days to exclude old accounts. Your choice lasts 180 days and can be withdrawn in Privacy and measurement settings. Declining does not affect the app. Google may process technical device and connection data outside your country.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with caregivers you explicitly invite to access your baby's information, healthcare providers (physicians) you authorize, and service providers necessary to operate our platform (as listed above).
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and associated data, export your data, and opt out of SMS notifications at any time.
Children's Privacy
TAMIM is designed to help parents track their babies' care. The baby information stored is provided by parents/guardians and is protected with the same security measures as all user data.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and your baby's data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
